Notable
- ◆ Registered 12-12-12
- ◆ Plate HGW-888
Lucky started life as a Bentley Silver Cloud, converted to Rolls Royce by replacement of the grille, badges, and engine head. Acquired at Shannons auction in 2012, originally bound for spare parts and saved at the last moment.
Registered on 12-12-12 with the plate HGW-888, which the team reads as Have Great Wedding. The number 8 is considered especially auspicious in Chinese culture, making Lucky a particularly popular choice for multicultural weddings.
The Silver Cloud II introduced Rolls Royce’s famous V8 engine: smoother, quieter, and more powerful than the six-cylinder it replaced. Lucky embodies the best of that generation.
