1975 Rolls Royce Shadow

History.

The very first wedding car ever owned by Always Classic Cars. Acquired from Tim White in pieces and rebuilt by Tom and Josie Roberts in 1984. Buying Oxford also brought us our longest-serving chauffeur, Aldo Verrocchi.

Oxford is the car that started it all. In 1984, Tom Roberts saw an opportunity in Melbourne’s growing wedding industry, and with this Silver Shadow he and Josie built a business from the ground up. Nearly four decades later, the fleet runs to twenty-two vehicles, but Oxford remains the sentimental heart of everything we do.

The Silver Shadow was Rolls Royce’s first fully unitary-construction car: a modern, self-supporting body that replaced the traditional separate chassis. Oxford represents a turning point in Rolls Royce history, as well as in ours.
